Gold before Dhanteras

Gold near ₹1.5 lakh before Dhanteras. What would you do?

📍 India

On 22 Oct 2026 gold is about ₹1.46 lakh per 10 g, so 100 g costs about ₹14.6 lakh. That is roughly 18% below its recent peak of ₹1.77 lakh, with Dhanteras on Fri 6 Nov. For comparison, 100 g of gold cost about ₹4.76 lakh in 2020 and about ₹5.88 lakh in 2023. Some people say buy before the festival rush, others wait for a bigger fall, prefer gold ETFs or bonds to jewellery, buy a little every month, or skip gold because it is too expensive. What would you do? Opinions only. Not investment advice. Not linked to any bank, fund, jeweller, exchange or government body.
