| Type | Purpose | Set by | Lifetime | Your control |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and the site secure (authentication session). | Dhishuum / Supabase | Session cookie / local storage, until you sign out or it expires | Cannot be switched off — the site would not work |
| Preferences | Remembers small choices on your device, such as dismissed notices. | Dhishuum | Local storage | Clear through your browser |
| Analytics (our own) | An anonymous random ID, kept in a cookie and in local storage, so we can count a visitor once, tell new from returning visitors and measure how long a visit lasts. It contains no name, email or account details, and it is not shared with advertisers. | Dhishuum | Up to 2 years | Clear cookies and site data in your browser |
| Advertising | Lets Google and its partners show and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. Used only once advertising is switched on. | Google AdSense and partners | Cookies set by Google domains, typically up to 13 months | Controlled through Google Ad Settings and your browser |
We do not currently use analytics or social-media tracking cookies of our own.
