India's richest

Who deserves to be India's richest?

📍 India

On the Hurun India Rich List (23 Sep 2026), Gautam Adani is India's richest at about ₹9.23 lakh crore, ahead of Mukesh Ambani at ₹8.63 lakh crore. Jio Platforms' IPO (price band ₹1,065-1,119, subscription 21-23 Oct 2026, about ₹10.3 lakh crore valuation at the top) could lift Ambani's wealth. On Dhishuum's own estimate, a listing near ₹1,320 a share would close the gap, if the full gain reaches Reliance's share price (an estimate, not a forecast). People argue about who deserves the top spot: Ambani, who built Jio for India; Adani, the self-made infrastructure builder; both together; neither, because of government friends; or Tata, wealth with ethics. Where do you stand? Opinions only. Not linked to any company, list or government body.
