Air India AI-171 report

How soon should the Air India AI-171 crash investigation report be made public, and how fully?

📍 Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India

The AAIB told the Supreme Court in July 2026 that a draft final report on the June 12, 2025 Ahmedabad crash, which killed 260 people, could be ready by October 2026. The bureau says the inquiry follows ICAO Annex 13 rules and that some evidence cannot be disclosed. Pilot bodies and a family have sought court-monitored oversight.
